Apparently, no one wears clothes better than Kylie Minogue. She stole the title of best-dressed celebrity from last year's winner, an actual model, Kate Moss, according to Glamour magazine. The 38 year-old won the award for what the editor of the magazine called her sophisticated new look. The singer had spent time away because she was recovering from breast cancer, but returned with a classy, great new look that wowed the fashion industry and tabloids. Moss fell to fourth place and her boyfriend, Pete Doherty, was named the worst-dressed male.


Jo Elvin, the editor of Glamour, said "We've seen a newer, softer-looking Kylie" and that "She's still sexy, but she's not flaunting that side of herself in gold hotpants any more." According to the BBC, she also praised the "Can't Get You Out of My Head" singer's "classic personal style" and her "Parisian chic" look. The editor said, "She's letting it shine through subtly, with a classic personal style that women really identify with."


The runner-up position on Glamour's best-dressed list went to Victoria Beckham because of her fearless approach. Elvin said "She isn't afraid of fashion and you never know what look she'll embrace next."

And who was the worst-dressed in 2006? According to the BBC, Glamour chose Alex Curran, Jodie marsh, Beyonce Knowles, Britney Spears, and Jordan. Jordan's husband Peter Andre made the worst-dressed list with Russell Brand, Pete Doherty, and Kevin Federline.
