Reese Witherspoon slept through her Oscar nomination.
The 'Walk The Line' star was so jetlagged she passed out before she could find out the news.
She said: "I was in Berlin and I was asleep because I was jetlagged; I'd fallen asleep on some couch and my publicist came in screaming. I thought I was having a dream and it was my daughter!"
"So they woke me up and told me and I was very excited. I called my mother and my husband.
The 29-year-old added: "It was exciting too because the film he was in - 'Crash' - got nominated as well for Best Picture."
Meanwhile, Reese was amazed by how bad her natural singing voice was.
The screen beauty only found out while preparing to play Johnny Cash's wife, June Carter.
She revealed: "I thought I was going to be fantastic. I listened to the CD's and I sang in my car for about I month before I had a voice lesson or we did any recording and I was like; 'I'm gonna nail this!'.
"Then I actually started recording and I went in there and they played it back to me. I was like, 'Who's that?' and they said ' That's you!'
I was like, 'You're kidding me? No. I'm much better than that."
She added: "After that I went back and started work with the vocal coach and it took me six months to get to the point where it didn't sound like nails on the chalkboard.
"It was that bad."
