Pierce Brosnan proved he isn’t James Bond when a United Airlines flight from Kauai to L.A. had to land in Honolulu shortly after takeoff due to a medical emergency. A passenger said that when the flight attendant paged the cabin asking if there was a doctor on the plane, Emily Frances of the Ch. 11 morning news turned to Brosnan - who lives in Hawaii - and said, "Come on, you’re Bond. Shouldn’t you be able to do something about this?" The source says, "Brosnan kind of laughed and said, ’Unfortunately that’s only in my make-believe life.’"
