Natalie Portman stunned onlookers at the Cannes premiere of 'Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith' yesterday (15-05-05) after arriving with a shaved head..

Despite her unusual new haircut, the 23-year-old star still sent pulses racing in a low-cut black dress and happily toured the red carpet with co-star Hayden Christensen - who plays Anakin Skywalker in the movie.

The pair were joined at the premiere by a galaxy of stars, including Samuel L Jackson, 'Desperate Housewives' actress Eva Longoria, Sharon Stone and 'Star Wars' creator George Lucas.



Jackson, who plays Jedi Knight Mace Windu in the film, spent over an hour on the red carpet chatting to fans and signing autographs.

The select crowd who were invited to the screening were greeted by a battalion of Stormtroopers and the saga's infamous villain Darth Vader before entering the cinema.


The film, the sixth and final instalment of the hugely popular saga, premieres in London tonight (16-05-05).
