Newly-shorn skinhead Natalie Portman has kept her chopped off locks in a bag.

The actress admitted: "It might seem gross but I loved my hair.

"Fans are now hoping that the locks will be sold on internet auction site eBay.

Earlier this week, it was revealed Natalie's stunning new look is seeing her confused with Irish singer Sinead O'Connor.

A source close to the star said: "Natalie is being mistaken for Sinead O'Connor.

She thinks it's hilarious and loves it.

"Despite her shaved head, Natalie sent pulses racing at the 'Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith' Cannes premiere when she arrived dressed in a low-cut black dress on Sunday (18-05-05).
