Model Milla Jovovich refused to take drugs during her partying teens, because she knew her mother would kill herself if anything went wrong.


The Ukraine-born beauty was determined to live life to the full when she left home - but she was on the edge of falling into a destructive way of life.


She says, "I could have gotten really swept away. It was remembering my mother that made me go, 'You know what? This isn't worth it.


'"I could get into a lot of trouble because these people are doing drugs... and whoa, this could kill me, and what would my mother do if I took this risk?'


"If I died, she would kill herself and that's what stopped me."
