Is Marilyn Manson dating Evan Rachel Wood? 2007-01-10

That was quick. Just days after we discovered that Marilyn Manson was no longer with Dita Von Teese, rumors have started to circulate that the rock star is dating the 19 year-old Evan Rachel Wood, star of Thirteen, Running With Scissors, and Down in the Valley. Manson is 38 years old and filed for divorce from Dita Von Teese over the December holidays. He reportedly found love again real quickly and Wood may have been part of the reason for the split.


Monsters and Critics reports that Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood were partying and hanging out together a lot before the divorce announcement and that Dita Von Teese grew tired of it, leading to the split. People magazine's got a source who told them "Dita is heartbroken, she didn't see this coming. His partying contributed to the split as well."


The rumor is that Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson have been friends for a while, only recently turning into more. The two met when Manson asked the young star to be in his horror movie, Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll and Wood later posed for a painting done by Manson. She said at the time, "It came as a kind of shock. I was beyond flattered."


M&C reports that Wood was also seen at Manson's new Hollywood art gallery, The Celebritarian Corporation Gallery of Fine Art, when it opened last October.


Von Teese filed for divorce before Christmas after seven years of dating Marilyn Manson and being married for one. She cited "irreconciliable differences."


There are fingers being pointed at someone besides Evan Rachel Wood - the notorious party girl Lindsay Lohan. Hollywoodrag quoted a source as saying that Dita Von Teese wanted to settle down, but that Manson went out and partied all the time with Lindsay Lohan. "She just had enough of his wild partying. Lindsay Lohan was ringing up the house wanting to come round and party with him. The phone would go all through the night, with people constantly turning up to hang out. Dita wants a quieter life and to have a baby. She told Manson to sort himself out or she was leaving. Unfortunately, nothing changed and he didn't clean up his act."


The New York Post claims that Manson was so out of it with his wife that he didn't even know she had moved out of the house. They quote a source as saying "She just had enough of his wild partying.
