Kylie Minogue's puppy help 2007-01-01

Kylie Minogue's boyfriend has reportedly bought her a puppy to cheer her up while she battles breast cancer.

Heartthrob French actor Olivier Martinez also hopes the cuddly pooch will help aid the 37-year-old pop star's recovery.

A source revealed: "Olivier heard that having a dog is therapeutic, so he couldn't think of a better gift."

Meanwhile, Kylie - who was diagnosed with cancer last May - is feeling so much better she's said to be planning her comeback.

The diminutive star is reportedly planning a new album, and wants to hold a benefit concert for cancer charities.

An insider said: "Kylie's feeling a lot better and looking forward to the future."
