Keira Knightley was allowed to smoke cigarettes with her mother when she was growing up.

The beautiful actress admits her mum is "a bit mental" and says her childhood was unusual, including long chats about sex.

The 20-year-old said: "My mother and I would always talk about sex. She'd come up to my room and have me roll cigarettes for her and then tell me I had to have one with her

"Not the typical mother-daughter thing. But we're extremely close. My mother's a bit mental - in a good way. She's a chilled-out hippie"

Meanwhile, the young actress has done her sexiest fashion shoot to date.

Keira, who flashes her right breast in Britain's Esquire magazine, insists she's fine with going topless - but she will never show her butt on camera.


She said: "I don't mind about the boobs, but not the butt I'm a woman There's no reason to do it"
