Halle's former hubby apologises on his new album 2007-01-01
Halle Berry's former husband sings a song on his new album in which he apologise to his ex-wife for cheating on her.
R'n'B star Eric Benet, who split from the Oscar-winning beauty last year after he admitted sleeping with a string of other women, says he wrote the tune to say sorry to his former wife for the pain he caused her - but doesn't expect her to listen to it.
He told American TV show 'Access Hollywood': "I think somewhere along the way, she's heard everything. "Maybe she hasn't heard the songs, but she's heard everything I have to say."
Last year, the 34-year-old singer admitted to "inappropriate" physical contact and "verbally inappropriate" behaviour - but blamed his condition on an addiction to sex.
But heartthrob Eric now denies he had ever actually had a full-blown affair with other women while still married to Halle and says that rumours of a sexual illness were whipped up by the media.
He added: "Some of it is truth. But I think the biggest misconception is that there is something wrong with me.
It's like the whole picture that was painted was sex addict."
Earlier this year, Benet lost his claim for a slice of his former wife's fortune after a judge finalising the couple's divorce ruled that a pre-nuptial agreement signed before they wed was still valid.
