Beyonce Knowles sacks manager father 2007-01-01

Beyoncé Knowles has sacked her father from her management team - after a furious bust-up over her backing dancers.

A source revealed: "Beyonce's had it with her dad.

The relationship between Destiny's Child and their management has been strained for some time now.

It's all come to a head and now Beyonce doesn't want her dad to manage her career any more.

"The final straw came during a conversation with one of her backing dancers who convinced her it was time to make a fresh start."

The move has left Matthew - who three years ago confessed to a US magazine that he had received counselling for his "marital infidelities" - stunned, as he has always been credited for orchestrating his daughter's incredible rise to stardom.


A spokesman for Beyonce has refused to confirm that the 23-year-old singer has sacked her father or made any changes to her management team.
