Ashley Judd Finds New Ways To Raise AIDS Cash

Ashley Judd Finds New Ways To Raise AIDS Cash 2007-01-01
Movie star ASHLEY JUDD has "radically altered" her spending habits so she can
give more money to AIDS charities.
The actress has signed up as a Youth AIDS ambassador and admits the
experience of seeing AIDS victims on her travels around the world has made her
realise just how important raising cash for her chosen charities is - and she's
finding ways to give more.
Judd explains, "I know what $20 can do, what $600 can do, what $1 million can
do, so I've radically altered my own spending - I will stay at the airport
hotel rather than the $350-a-night one, and then I'll take the extra money and
invest it to accrue interest, so I can later donate it."
And she's no longer interested in shopping: "I have so much s**t. I don't
need more."
Judd recently filmed MTV AIDS documentary TRACKING THE MONSTER, during which
she met young street-side prostitutes in Madagascar, who are often forced to
have unprotected sex in squalor.
