Alicia Silverstone was shocked to be branded a sex symbol when she started her career - because she was just 15

The two films made her an instant pin-up, but Silverstone admits she didn't understand why men found her attractive because she was so young and sexually inexperienced

She told Britain's Now magazine: "After my first movie, 'The Crush', everyone was saying how sexy I seemed

But I was just 15, for goodness sake

I was clueless about that.

When I look back at that film, I don't know where any of that came from


"However, the 28-year-old star admits she played up to her sexy image after she got a little older and even pretended to be quite experienced in the bedroom for the sake of her career
She added: "The image stuck and, for some reason, everyone thought I knew exactly what I was doing when it came to having a great sex life.
It was ridiculous because I knew so little I kidded myself that I did for a time, of course, because that's how you deal with it"
